365 Poems: Shut up and listen

Day 296

These are fall songs that I like, though I hate fall -- although not as much as I hate winter. I hate fall as the presage of winter; fall is full of false sunny promises and colorful party days and lurking underneath is the grey skeleton of the months to come. Fall does little but kill off summer with tree confetti and freeze warnings.

Fall makes me want to read Sylvia Plath and wear yoga pants and hoodies everyday and then read Wuthering Heights and move to Florida. And listen to these songs.
