365 Poems: Blossoms

Day 269

Great reading today in Modpo. This, from Ezra Pound:

The apparition     of these faces     in the crowd   :
Petals     on a wet, black    bough    .

And I thought of Basho, my go-to haiku guy:

From all these trees –
in salads, soups, everywhere –
cherry blossoms fall

And in other words, imagists:

Petals like words,
Faces like flowers,
Poems like pictures,
Flash photography.
