365 Poems: And sometimes

Day 198

Enjoying and appreciating the video poem of yesterday, we did a little more research in the genre and found some awesome stuff. Here's one from MovingPoems.com. It's by poet Tony Walsh, of the United Kingdom. The filmmaker is David Wharton.

What an amazing fusion of poetry and video storytelling -- the poem itself is moving and emotional, and the video follows the story arc perfectly. When he cries at the end -- wow.
Video poems like this have the potential to make poetry be so much more accessible to, well, generations, who might otherwise have little use for it.
