365 Poems: Winter Storm Warning

Day 63

Winter Storm Warning

Fortuneteller,
cease your wailing:
Silence the siren, and
let what tomorrow brings
be as unknown as the
great wide dark
of the sky tonight.
Warnings can't be trusted,
and everything is relative,
anyway:
We'll complain our way
through the storm,
if it bring an inch,
or a foot,
and even when it melts
per the next day's forecast.
