365 Poems: What happens to winter while we sulk

Day 64

Here's a recycled poem from a couple years ago. We might be getting a snow storm today ... but in March, it's not going to do anything except leave fast.

What happens to winter while we sulk

Our wearisome fight against the cold seems lost;
We retreat to nurse our frozen Hoosier hearts.
Meanwhile, outside the ignored window,
Winter ... slowly ... melts ... away.
