365: Poems: When Tomorrow Comes

Day 29

From 'The Spider and the Fly' by Mary Howitt
I took a shower this morning. I was not alone. Will I be tomorrow?

When Tomorrow Comes

O little spider
making your way
down an invisible road
of your own design
this morning
in my shower.
What destiny awaits?
Is it death by drowning,
smashing, or some
mysterious circumstance?
Am I a coward or a saint,
a human -- or a god?
