Here's a haiku from my USAToday haiku contest days. This one didn't 'win,' but I always kind of liked it, especially the play on the word 'notes.' I was thinking of writing a new one, but found that having the disciple of an assigned subject -- USAToday used to throw a single word out there -- is more helpful for focus and function than might be imagined. Maybe I should use a word generator or something to 'assign' themes to myself?
Guitar
Sing softly to me,
Suddenly I'm young again;
Notes from yesterday.
