Best Fort Wayne: State championships

I'm still tired from when our kids won Class A State Band Championship in '92 (Angela was a band aid); '94 (her sophomore and Tony's freshman year); '95 (junior and sophomore) and '96 (Angela's senior senior year). Some of the longest, funnest, best-memory days of our kids' childhoods.
But the lessons they learned (besides flute and trumpet) in working hard, winning well, losing with grace, and sticking together have lasted until today.
Today, when the Homestead Spartan Alliance Marching Band won its 5th championship. It was their 25th consecutive appearance in state finals, and it's Steve Barber's 25th year as HHS band director.
