Watching the Indiana State legislature in action is like watching a chaotic circus. Their machinations over almost every important bill--from daylight savings time to property taxes to the budget--are Rube Goldberg-esque in scope. It would be entertaining if it wasn't so frustrating. But at the 11th hour, a budget passes, although I'm sure we'll be hearing for some time from Republicans how stupid the Democrats were and from Democrats about how stubborn the Republicans were.
