Order your honeybells

A few years ago we happened to be in Florida during the very best time of year. Winter here, and honeybell orange season there. Honeybells aren't really "oranges" -- they are a "unique natural hybrid of Dancy Tangerine and Duncan Grapefruit." They are small, juicy, sweet, and after you eat one, it's hard to ever eat a grocery-store navel orange again.

NOW is the time to 1) (most recommended option) go to Florida and eat honeybells in person; 2) beg a friend or relative to send or bring you some honeybells; or 3) get online and order yourself some.

I just found a site that has free shipping and very reasonable prices. Try Fifty honeybells for about $35.

  1. You forgot a fourth option. Get some neighbors to split the cost with you and order them. This way you can bring the cost down to about $1.50 a pound and still enjoy them.
