Finding Christmas in the Fort

It's not hard. We found it several places this week.

First, at the Fort Wayne Community Band Concert last Tuesday evening. Santa hats and red bow ties were the accents on a wonderful evening of holiday music.

During intermission, Santa made an appearance, and Taylor was more than happy to take the opportunity to request the Dora vanity she wants. Her face tells the story better than any words!

On Thursday, it was to Hickory Center Elementary, where we enjoyed an evening of music and entertainment courtesy of the 5th grade. First, the brand-new band showed off what they have learned; next, the choir performed. Finally, a musical comedy, "Santa Sings the Blues," capped off the evening. Julian graced the stage in the pivotal role of Santa.

Tonight, we paid a visit to our newly refurbished Santa and Sleigh downtown (looks GREAT, many cars it the parking lot, and a line out the door at Coney Island), then did the tour of AWS Fantasy of Lights at Franke Park. We all enjoyed the show, but the commentary of the three- and five-year-olds truly made the ride ... hysterical.
