Let's be careful out there

Because roads are in pretty slick condition. I had to take a friend to the airport this morning, and it took over an hour to get from my addition off Covington Road, to his house off Homestead, to the airport, and then to Huntington to work. Some sections of roads had been salted/sanded, and others were just plain icy. Oddly enough, I did not see any slide offs or wrecks. I did hear that I69 and also Engle had problems.

I agree that people need to be mindful of the road conditions, especially this time of year when they can take you by surprise.

There was a single-car accident on I-69 southbound, at mile marker 122 (a pickup truck crashed into a ravine), but I don't believe it was attributable to slick road conditions. The area north of Dupont Road didn't get the same amount of precipitation, and that part of I-69 was 100% dry and clear. It was probably driver error, or something mechanical that caused the accident.
