Toast of Ohio Wine Festival (Sandusky)

Planning a Cedar Point trip in August? Shoot for the weekend of August 16 and include a side trip to downtown Sandusky and the Toast of Ohio Wine Festival. The park it's in is near the marina, lots of shade, lots of food and lots of wine. There's a playground for kids, too. We went last year, and I'm still mad I didn't buy a bottle of chocolate wine. It was great.

Lots of other fun stuff to do in the Sandusky area--several regional wineries, Cedar Point of course, Lake Erie Islands, Cleveland is less than an hour away. Visit:

August 16 -- Toast of Ohio from 11 am – 8 pm at the Sandusky Bay Pavilion, Sandusky. Wine Festival featuring award-winning wines, entertainment, family fun activities at local museums and great gourmet foods. Wine tasting glasses will vary by vendor but start at $3. Food offerings will range from $1 to $5. The Sandusky Main Street Trolley will be available during the day to transport festival patrons around town and to the museums. $1 admission fee, $0.50 and $1 tickets will be available for exchange of wine tastings and food purchases. 419-624-0274.
