State of the leaves on Hearthstone Drive

My neighbors are all such good, trusting citizens. After two snows, no leave pickups, and a wind storm or two, they have all--to a house--re-raked their wet, soppy, moldy, yucky leaves into nice, neat piles down by the street.

Still waiting. And as if getting annexed and seeing our taxes jump 62% wasn't damaging enough to our property values, now the street looks crappy, too.

Please, someone convince me that a few well-controlled backyard fires is worse than these piles of mold.

  1. I'm sorry you've had such trouble with the leaf pick-up. We've had four pickups down here in Aboite Lake Estates. Granted, the last one was long delayed by the snow cover.

Under city code, you CAN still burn as long as you follow the requirements: enclosed burn ring, available water supply, etc.
