Brett Somers, famed for ‘Match Game,’ has died - Television - MSNBC.com: "Hosted by Gene Rayburn, “Match Game” was the top game show during much of the 1970s. Contestants would try to match answers to nonsense questions with a panel of celebrities; much of the humor came from the racy quips and putdowns."

It's really sad that this story has to explain what the Match Game was. And it's even sadder that Brett Somers suffered so before she died--I grew up watching her in the '70s, and she was one of the women who taught me just how funny a tough sassy broad can be.
