San Jose Mercury News - A's trade catcher Kendall to Cubs
" Oakland - which received catcher Rob Bowen and left-handed pitcher Jerry Blevins in the deal - is turning the everyday catching duties over to 23-year-old rookie Kurt Suzuki. Bowen will be the A's backup catcher, and Blevins will report to Double-A Midland. The A's will continue to pay part of Kendall's $13.4 million salary."

We knew the Cubs didn't need three (or four) catchers, so it was a question of who was going where, when. Turns out, it was Rob--back to the west coast. Bummer! We never got to go see him in Chicago.
