Day after big swings, Padres slug way past Cubs - Baseball - MSNBC.com

"Cameron hit a two-run shot to center in the first inning and followed Adrian Gonzalez’s two-run drive in the third with a homer off Rich Hill (5-5) that made it 5-1. Khalil Greene added a three-run homer off Sean Gallagher in the fifth, and Rob Bowen hit a solo drive against Michael Wuertz in the eighth."

Ft. Wayne's own Rob Bowen homers at Wrigley Field! The guys were DVR-ing the game for viewing in between golf, pool lounging, and cooking out, and were able to back up, over and over again, the closeup of Rob at bat, and the ball soaring over the ivy. We reminisced about the cute, chubby kid on Dana during the Time Corners days, and felt pretty good for him. Even if it meant Tony never got to catch an inning of varsity baseball at Homestead (he did get to start in right field, so we don't complain).
