Sunset in the city
I forgot to mention something in the post about yesterday. Of course we are all familiar with midwestern sunsets--you can see a lot of them, maybe not like in the plains, but we really get "big pictures" sunsets. Right out my front door, every night.
We were riding the bus back to Brooklyn after mass yesterday. I truly can't remember what street we were on, but it was an north-south street. As I looked to the west out the window, the sunset flashed by in stripes, long colorful ribbons of it between the buildings, boxy canyons of orange and yellow sunset between the gray buildings.
