There's Mounting Evidence That Memorial Stadium Could Meet with Wrecking Ball - News - MSNBC.com: "If the Fort Wayne Wizards re-locate to a new stadium downtown, it's becoming more clear that would spell doom for the Coliseum's Memorial Stadium.

That comes from preliminary findings in a study regarding the future viability of the current home of the Wizards.

There's been no final decisions made, but a special task force heard today that an analysis of how Memorial Stadium could be used if the Wizards re-locate, did not offer a rosy picture."

I do a slow burn as I read this. When I think of the fight to build the stadium in the first place, and then then last-minute appeal to build it downtown (which everyone else seems to have forgotten!), and now, 10 years later, we're ready to axe the thing and do what should have been done in the first place, all to the tune of millions of tax dollars, it really makes me see red.
