A ride on the old Lincoln | Chicago Tribune: "Tiny Kimmel, possibly the only U.S. town with a Hitler Street (named for a local farmer not the fuhrer) is next, followed by Wolf Lake, platted in 1832, then Merriam, where the Lincoln runs through a cemetery and past an intriguing if derelict windowless school that was new in 1914."
Ft. Wayne Observed pointed out this story, and I include this little snippet because we discovered Merriam in the lastyear, home of Uncle Mike's, one of those lake restaurants/bars/surprise excellent food places that Indiana does so well. Quarter wings on Wednesdays. Awesome desserts.
