The nutty world we live in
WP: Soldiers confront grim obstacle - washingtonpost.com Highlights - MSNBC.com: "BAGHDAD - The soldiers called him Bob, and for the past several weeks, until Tuesday morning, he was the biggest obstacle to the success of an important mission in a small but crucial corner of the Iraq war."

So I'm reading the above story on msnbc.com. And it's about a body floating in a septic tank inside a former spaghetti factory in Baghdad, that the U.S. military wants to use as a headquarters. And I'm half sick reading about the condition of the body, and how nobody wants to move it, and the options the poor Army guys have in dealing with it.

And then I notice the "Breaking News Alert" at the top of the page. Last week, it's where I saw the news of the Virginia Tech shootings.

And today, it's about Rosie O'Donnell leaving The View.

It's just too strange, from week to week, what passes for "Breaking News." I need a quiet moment.
