The Writer's Almanac from American Public Media
Take a minute to visit the link above. You'll find a poem by Deborah Cummins that I liked very much. Then, a little further down, is the story of how the Bill oRights came to be part of our constitution. Before today, if you'd asked me about George Mason, I'd have mentioned the university. But I would not have know he was the author of the Bill of Rights, and that he refused to sign the Constitution because they (at first) weren't included. He lost his friendship with George Washington because of it.
