The Writer's Almanac from American Public MediaWell, just scroll downto the entry for April 28...It's Nell Harper Lee's birthday, and her To Kill a Mockingbird is just one of my favorite books. Full of truth and humor, rooted in realism of small-town life, which is always both wonderful and terrible, it's a book worth re-reading if it's been awhile, or if you read it as a child or teen. Also, kind of interesting that it's the Mutiny on the Bounty anniversary....
