End of January
Drama is life with the dull bits cut out. -- Alfred Hitchcock

I loathe people who keep dogs. They are cowards who haven't got the guts to bite people themselves. -- August Strindberg, A Madman's Diary, 1895

Humor is always based on a modicum of truth. Have you ever heard a joke about a father-in-law? -- Dick Clark

Again, rather frightening I should find quotes from Alfred Hitchcock and Dick Clark in the same entry.

We move ever farther into the dead of winter. Spent yesterday in housework and in waiting for a winter storm to hit, which it did not until 7 p.m. or so. Got a couple inches of snow and enough blowing around of it that a lot of schools closed the and drive to work was "interesting," although I was not late. Guess more weather may occur today and tomorrow....
