For a Monday
We shall find peace. We shall hear the angels, we shall see the sky sparkling with diamonds. -- Anton Chekhov, 1897 [Finding myself curious about what prompted Chekhov to say this....]
Every time you spend money, you're casting a vote for the kind of world you want.-- Anna Lappe, O Magazine, June 2003
Ok, so the kind of world I want has clothes, food and bills...and many, many books. Toys for kids. That sounds like not a bad world to me. But then it's Monday...after a beautiful, beyond-Indian-summer weekend...I read too long last night (Loose Change for book club)...and I feel sleepy and unmotivated.
