Advice for today
Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested: that is, some books are to be read only in parts, others to be read, but not curiously, and some few to be read wholly, and with diligence and attention. -- Sir Francis Bacon

Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment.-- Ralph Waldo Emerson

And one not to be forgotten:
Eat a live toad the first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.-- Unknown

Notes
Hot and humid 'til yesterday...a front moves through with a shower and thunder and my flowers lifted their faces, smiling--cooler and beautiful to sit out last night--the sun came out before dark, which always lifts my spirits. No mosquitos. Clear and cool this morning. Last day at work before vacation. Always a bit of a frazzled day. Glad to walk out the door at the end of the day.
